About Wisdomworks

Knowledge is about facts and figures.

Wisdom, though, is more about making connections. Connections between people, and their differing experiences. Connections between viewpoints, and their differing understandings.

It was on this premise, and in the context of the broader ministry of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary, that Wisdomworks was founded in 1999, reaching out to those living in the Inland Empire and beyond, furthering education, justice, and community.

In that effort, no small amount of experience is being brought to bear by its co-founders and co-directors.

Vision

Wisdomworks is:

  • An organization addressing the desire of people hungering for integration at all stages of their lives; work, home, and retirement.
  • A resource provider that enables people to grow spiritually by finding deeper meaning and motivation in their daily lives.
  • A connecting agency, making connections come alive, between midlife, senior adults, women, and businesses, and everyone served.

Mission

Wisdomworks honors the full development of each person at every stage of life respecting diversity, uniqueness and individual cultural traditions. We recognize that each life phase offers specific opportunities for active participation in personal growth while respecting that each person develops in a unique way. We strive to create an environment wherein a new sense of community emerges and isolation and loneliness diminish in both personal and professional life. We encourage all people to find a new sense of empowerment in their own lives.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
